Job Overview and Responsibilities

Westbow is looking for a Development Coordinator to provide support in the acquisition of properties, managing the development process, and constructing all civil servicing infrastructure.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support in all aspects of project management
  • Assisting with project feasibility and due diligence on new projects
  • Assisting the preparation of project schedules
  • Assisting the coordination of legal and strata matters related to the development project
  • Providing support for city applications, including assembling materials, ensuring conditions are met, and requesting required documents from the consultant team
  • Coordinating all project insurance coverage, tracking all letters of credit, refundable deposits and fees paid for municipal permits
  • Undertaking market, product, and service research and data collection
  • Attending consultants’ meetings, preparing minutes and follow ups
  • Tracking and monitoring all required approvals to ensure timely processing and completion
  • Preparing internal and external reports and presentations
  • Providing support with public engagement and community meetings
  • Assisting with building and maintaining project schedules, tracking documents, and checklists
  • Assisting with daily management of consultants, contractors, and third-party vendors
  • Performing day to day administrative tasks, including processing expense claims and file maintenance and organization
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Land Economics, or related field is an asset
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in real estate related projects
  • Working knowledge of real estate market, current market data and trends, projects, and land regulation policies is an asset
  • Project Management certifications an asset
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office
